Biosystem Mechanical Engineering was established in 1373 under the name of Agricultural Machinery Engineering Group in order to provide expert personnel in the field of designing, manufacturing and using machines and equipment needed for agriculture in the eastern regions of the country. Currently, the group consists of 10 faculty members, which of course benefits from the existence of 3 retired professors. Following the revision of agricultural fields in 2013, this field was renamed to biosystem engineering. Currently, the Department of Biosystem Mechanics Engineering continues its scientific and research activities in two related scientific fields, namely "Biosystem Mechanics" and "Agricultural Mechanization" and accepts students up to the doctoral level in both fields.
