Interview notice on Joint project of Master of Agroecology course between Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Kassel University of Germany
The DAAD funded German-Iranian research project “FUM-UK Agroecology” jointly developed by the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (Faculty of Agriculture), Iran and University of Kassel (Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences), Germany, offers 3 students staying abroad between 2021 and 2023.
Background:
The International Study and Training Partnerships (German: ISAP) is a DAAD funded exchange program with the goals: (i) to establish international study and training partnerships with foreign universities between individual departments (e.g. through faculty exchange), (ii) to support groups of highly qualified German and Iranian students who are enabled to complete a fully recognized part of their studies at the respective partner university, and (iii) to establish agreements on credit transfer, attractive study offers and joint curriculum development as the basis for a permanent two-way exchange. The project aims at a long-term cooperation between the partner institutions, which should not only strengthen the department in the field of teaching, but also provide starting points for the joint research projects. The focus of the study exchange will be "agroecology and organic food systems.”
Persons in charge:
Prof. Dr. Parviz Rezvani Moghaddam and Associate Prof. Dr. Azra Ghandeharion (Ferdowsi University of Mashhad) in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Andreas Bürkert and Dr. Martin Wiehle (University of Kassel, Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences) are the leaders of the program.
Approach:
The core element of the funding program is to exchange students and teachers. It is planned that in each of the four semesters 3 Iranian and 3 German students will visit and study for one semester (lasting between 5 to 6 months) at the other partner faculty. English will be the language of teaching. The courses offered are fine-tuned to the respective available courses in correspondence with a priory and individually developed learning agreement acknowledged and signed by either side. For German students 30 ECTS have to be obtained, for Iranians 30 ECTS in Germany (which equals 10 ECTS in Iran).

Students holding a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, natural resources, and related sciences which were accepted in the first stage of the National master's exam (2021) are invited to interview. The following documents must be submitted per E-Mail on time at at the latest 15 Sept. 2021.
1- Knowledge of B2 level in English (TOEFL, IELTS or adequate proofs)
2- Outstanding academic performance (among the 25% of the best graduated students of one academic year). Please provide up-to-date transcripts records and certificates.
3- Image of the grades of undergraduate courses
4- Certificate of graduation until 31 September 2021 in the bachelor's degree
5- National Master's exam transcript
